How High-Achievers are Finding Lasting Love by Nashville’s WingWoman Laura Lee Wood

DISCOVER HOW HIGH-ACHIEVERS ARE FINDING LOVE THAT LASTS EVEN IN OUR LAISSEZ-FAIRE DATING CULTURE

I believe you can be as successful in love as you are in life, and I believe in love that lasts a lifetime. Yet, even in a world of unlimited matches, many high-achieving singles feel frustrated, lonely, and easily replaced. Eventually, the string of boring first dates, endless texting conversations, and swinging by to “catch up” at happy hour are no longer enough. You want more. You’re ready for lasting love. And, probably wondering how you find it.

Let me introduce myself so you know who I am and what I stand for. I’m Laura Lee Wood and I’m a certified dating expert, relationship coach, and certified matchmaker. I teach high-achievers, just like you, how to create remarkable relationships and lasting love–even if you’ve been burnt before, always seem to attract the wrong partners or feel jaded by today’s casual dating scene.

Basically, I’m on a one-woman mission to redefine modern romance through the timeless principles of courtship, so smart, sexy, successful singles can finally have the relationships they long for, built on mutual respect, quality communication, deep connection and real intimacy.

Somewhere along the line, we as a society lost our way when it comes to dating, commitment, and lasting love. The so-called modern rules of dating only continue to fuel a dating culture that is completely misaligned with what we as high-achievers value, including respect, trust, honesty, and dignity.

Yet, the struggle to understand and the pressure to play by the modern rules of dating is very real. Your friends tell you to wait to text, to be mysterious, act unavailable, and just have “fun”. It feels like a you’ve gotta play by the rules of the game to create success. Yet, it’s a game that doesn’t actually seem to get you any closer to creating the relationship you desire. You’ve tried playing it “casual” but it’s not who you are. And, it’s not working.

As a once-married, former lawyer and forever-high-achieving woman myself, I know what it’s like to date in 2018 and I understand the demands of a career, both a traditional one and an entrepreneurial one. I know all about grey zones, swiping right and what it actually means to “Netflix and chill.”  I know the struggles and demands of balancing a successful career and a love life. I understand what it takes to create space for the love, companionship and intimacy we deeply desire. And, I know it isn’t always easy–due to our responsibilities and, sometimes, our own pasts.

Speaking of the past, the truth is, mine hasn’t exactly been a fairytale. Just two years ago, I was a highly-respected lawyer whose life looked pristine and perfect on the outside. But on the inside, I was completely disconnected from my heart, my intuition, and my emotions. I had learned to cope by switching my emotions off and relying on my logical lawyer brain to help me navigate life (and love). Then, when my 10-year marriage ended in a heart-wrenching divorce, things got worse so much worse. My soul felt empty and I felt so alone. I had no idea where to start to rebuild relationships in my personal life much less in learning how to date again after a 14-year absence from the dating scene.Yet, I deeply craved to feel connected and to experience intimacy again in my relationships. So, I made a daring decision to leave the “perfect” (on paper) career, hired my own coach, and immediately started to learn a fresh, new way to experiencing my life–and in finding love. Through this work, I was able to drop my guard, stop being so private and also stop expecting perfection from myself–and others. And, I learned how to open myself up to loving my imperfect life- and to wholeheartedly falling in love again. And, to dating in a way that felt truly aligned with what I value most.

So, here’s the truth: Career success and relationship success are NOT mutually exclusive. You can have as much success in love as you have in life when you’re dating based on your own core values, not trying to fit or blend into the casual dating scene. Because, even though times are constantly changing, the core components of quality relationships never have. Things like clarity on what you want in a partner, connection that’s based on trust and respect, communication that’s honest and open, commitment (aka an exclusive relationship based on mutual desire) and courtship, so intentions are clear from the very first date.

When you date from a place of mutual respect, honest communication, and openness to create a deeply intimate connection, you change not only who you attract but the caliber of relationship depth you can create.

Does this feel more aligned with who you are and the relationship you desire to create (without having to play games)? If so, you’re in the right place at the right time. If it’s a YES for you, I want to extend an invitation for you to join me and discover how you CAN create a remarkable relationship even in our casual dating culture. During the training, I will share with you a more empowered way to approach dating to find lasting love and create a truly remarkable relationship. What I share, you won’t hear anywhere else. And, it will not follow any modern dating rules but it will feel respectful, honest, and aligned with your core values.
