Empowering Other Women Empowers You, Too by blogger Casey

We live in a world that comes with a lot of judgement. Most of the time as women our first instinct is to compare ourselves to the other women in the room – “Look at what she’s wearing!” “Why is she so skinny?” “Why does he like her instead of me?” – We as women can be incredibly critical of everyone, but especially each other. My question is: why?

Why do we have to constantly compare ourselves to each other? Why can’t we respect and appreciate each other for the incredible women we are? Society has created this environment that pins women against each other, but it is stopping us from achieving all of the amazing things that women can and should achieve!
Saying another woman is beautiful doesn’t mean you’re not, too. Admiring other women for their successes doesn’t mean you’re not successful. A man choosing another woman doesn’t mean you aren’t desirable.
We need to stop holding onto this ridiculous need to compete and instead empower women everywhere to feel confident and pursue their own dreams. Empowering other women empowers you, too.
After all, we could use a little more #GirlPower in this world.
